Benefits of Joining the Copier Program

Summary: Learn more about why units and departments choose the Copier Program.

The Copier Program is an economical alternative to purchasing and managing copier equipment, with all maintenance, supplies, paper, training, billing services, and related administrative management included.

The Copier Program offers the following benefits:

• Savings to your unit of time, money and human resources
• No financial outlay by your unit is needed up front.
• Cards or codes allow for cost/accounting division among different departments and different FOAPALs.
• Detailed copying records are not necessary because your business office or budget manager will receive a detailed monthly recharge statement, which lists user activity by FOAPAL, card or code, and copier location.
• No need to contend with rising service costs and burdensome maintenance agreements, or to track down a technician for machine repairs

Copiers can be networked and set up with fax, scan, and printer functions, for an additional monthly flat fee.

The Copier Program currently has over 159 copiers in administrative, academic, and public areas, of which 88 have convenient Slug Card access, and 12 also accept cash for copies. Other copiers in our program have code access, or are sole source copiers.

We now have multi-functional networked copiers in our program, at several locations on campus, that also print, scan, fax, and email.
